Island Global Yachting, which operates luxury marinas around the world, has teamed with Malta-based G-Marin to create Mourjan Marinas-IGY. The new entity, defined as a strategic relationship, will be based in Dubai to seek marina development and management opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa.
This geographic move comes less than four months after IGY announced a partnership with a Turkish conglomerate to create the first megayacht marina in Croatia.
Though most of IGY’s properties are currently in the Caribbean and Americas, the company is marketing itself as being “at the forefront of emerging marina markets in Mexico, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Middle East.” Stay tuned.
