One of the things I love about online publishing is that it lets us journalists delve deeper than ever before into niche subjects. The new Superyacht Design website is a great example. It is poised to let readers interact with and learn about designers and suppliers in far more in-depth ways than any printed magazine could ever hope to allow.
Built by the team at The Yacht Report, this new site (it just went live today) includes everything from editorial interviews with designers to new superyacht products such as woven vinyl flooring and boiling water taps. It’s like having a window into the minds of the leaders in superyacht design, at the very moment they are shopping for whatever will be the “next big thing” in boating.
I like the new site’s design, and I hope the editors can live up to the promises made in the marketing materials. What a great idea. I, for one, can’t wait to read more.
